💵 Salary Calculator

How it works: This calculator converts your salary between different pay periods and optionally calculates net pay after deductions based on user-input rates.

Default Assumptions:

  • 52 weeks per year
  • 26 bi-weekly pay periods per year
  • 12 months per year
  • 40 hours per week (for full-time)
  • 5 working days per week (for daily calculations)

Formula: The calculator annualizes the input salary based on the selected pay period, then divides to get other periods. For net calculations, it deducts estimated taxes and contributions from the gross salary.

Use Cases: Use this calculator to understand your salary structure, plan budgets, or compare job offers with different pay periods and deduction scenarios.

Important Note: These calculations show gross salary and estimated net salary (after deductions). Tax rates are user-provided estimates; actual taxes vary by brackets, location, and circumstances. Consult a tax professional for accurate calculations. Medicaid is not included as it's not a standard payroll deduction; Medicare is used instead.
